Founded in 2018, Sunthetics plans to sell and license the manufacturing equipment to current and future producers. In the long-term, Sunthetics will develop electrochemical manufacturing equipment for a variety of other industries and applications, including upcycling waste streams.
The startup raised over US$ 400,000 in non-dilutive funding and won 5 startup competitions, including the NYU Entrepreneurship Challenge, the University Startup World Cup and the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards.
The startup was presented at the 1st Startup-Days of the 58th Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress (Dornbirn GFC) in Dornbirn/Austria from September 11-12, 2019.
