The producer of biopolymers and spider silk, AMSilk GmbH, Planegg/Germany, has announced that Ulrich Scherbel (photo) has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective January 1, 2021.
This follows the announcement in October 2020 that Scherbel had been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). The move comes after former CEO Jens Klein left AMSilk effective December 31, 2020 to take up a position in another company. Klein is staying connected to the company as brand ambassador.
Scherbel bring with him the experience in successfully building the Global Apparel Division of the Freudenberg Group, Weinheim/Germany.
