The cornerstone of the manufacturer of adhesives, Jowat SE, Detmold/Germany, was originally laid in Breslau/Poland, back in 1919. There, Johannes Watzlawczik, the founder who gave the name to what is now Jowat SE, with entrepreneurial courage and a strong customer focus, set in motion what would prove to be continual company growth. The wide range of applications of the Jowat products that already existed at that time.
Today, with a workforce of over 1,200 employees worldwide, Jowat SE produces more than 90,000 tons/year adhesives. The portfolio includes high-performance adhesives used in woodworking and furniture manufacture, in the automotive industry and its suppliers, in the paper processing industry, for graphic arts, for textile finishing and in the construction sector.
