Approximately 700 participants from 35 countries attended the 57th Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress (Dornbirn-GFC) from September 12-14, 2018 in Dornbirn/Austria. Next to Europe, many of the more than 100 lectures, with over 50% from industry, were presented from Japan, China, Taiwan, India, the USA, Canada and Turkey.
The CEO Panel on the subject of “3 Ps – Planet, People, Profit” was well received. Necat Altin (Zorlu), Stefan Braun (Dralon), Uday Gill (Indorama), Robert van de Kerkhof (Lenzing) and Gunjan Sharma (Reliance) led by Walter Woitsch (Syngroup Consulting) exchanged their differing views.
At the 58th Dornbirn-GFC from September 11-13, 2019, the main topics will be fiber innovations, circular economy, digitization in the fiber and textile industry, surface modification and additives, nonwovens, sports and leisure wear, and smart textiles.
