Submission of abstracts and innovations as well as requests for sponsorship are now possible for the 2nd International Conference on Cellulose Fibres. Hosted by the nova-Institute GmbH, Hürth/Germany, this conference, which will take place from February 2-3, 2021, will build on the success of the previous event and focus on the fastest growing fiber group in textiles, the largest investment sector in the bio-based economy and the solution for avoiding microplastics from textile washing.

With 210 participants and 15 exhibitors from 26 different countries, the 1st edition of the conference received very positive feedback, and hopes to attract even more experts from the cellulose fiber sector.
The event will again cover the entire value chain from the lignocellulosic feedstock over dissolving pulp, cellulose fibers – such as rayon, viscose, modal and lyocell and new developments – to a wide range of applications like woven textiles (clothing) and nonwovens (wipes and technical applications).
For the first time the innovation award “Cellulose Fiber Innovation of the Year” will be granted at the conference. The award will be presented for the development of new technologies and applications. All producers and inventors along the entire value chain from feedstock to final product are invited to enter the competition. An expert jury will select a total of 6 new materials and products from all entries for the award. After short presentations by the 6 candidates at the conference, the 3 winners will be elected by the participants of the conference.
