Closed loop system for big bags

Starlinger

At the leading plastics exhibition K 2019 from October 16-23, 2019, in Düsseldorf/Germany, the producer of machinery and complete lines for woven plastic bag production Starlinger & Co. Ges.m.b.H., Vienna/Austria, will present a sustainable closed loop system for big bags made from woven polypropylene.

Worldwide, more than 380 million 4-loop big bags (FIBCs – Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) are sold every year; this equals an annual recycling potential of approx. 800,000 tons of material.
With circular packaging, Starlinger will introduce a concept for a closed loop for big bags that begins with polypropylene granulate and leads back to polypropylene regranulate (rPP) through the process steps production, usage, recovery, and recycling.
