Paul Schlack Man-Made Fibres Prize 2018 call for papers

In order to promote man-made fibers research at universities and research institutes, the Paul Schlack Man-Made Fibres Prize has been awarded since 1971 on the occasion of the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress (GFC) in Dornbirn/Austria.

There are 2 prize categories:

  • The Paul Schlack prize awarded with € 3,000 – for an author of a theme from a university or research institute;
  • The honorary prize for a project leader of a joint research project between university/research institute and industry.

Proposals should be submitted to the European Man-Made Fibers Association (CIRFS), Brussels/Belgium, as soon as possible, taking into account the deadline of March 30, 2018. Application documents shall be preferably in English, or in another European language, and shall include a copy of the published work. An English summary must be provided in all cases.

The winner of the Paul Schlack prize will be asked to report on the results of his/her research by presenting a summary of 5 minutes (in English or German) at the opening of the Global Fibers Congress in Dornbirn which takes place from September 12-14, 2018.
