Autoneum Grand Opening Komarom
Owing to demand, automotive supplier Autoneum Management AG, Winterthur/Switzerland, is expanding its European production capacities and opened a plant for the manufacture of lightweight components for acoustic and thermal management in Komárom/Hungary on May 15, 2018. At Autoneum's 6th Eastern European production site, multifunctional carpet systems will be produced in series for a German premium car manufacturer.
At this plant carpet systems, inner dashes and wheelhouse outer liners as well as other NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) components just-in-time for their nearby production sites in Hungary and Slovakia will be produced.
As part of the implementation of sustainable production processes at all Autoneum locations, the Company plans to recycle production scrap and waste at the plant as well as to make them available for reuse outside of the component production.
