The technology group Freudenberg SE, Weinheim/Germany, has made an offer to acquire 100% of the shares in the producer of technical textiles Low & Bonar Plc, London/UK. The step would allow Freudenberg to further expand its technical expertise in spun-laid nonwovens. In addition, the acquisition would open up new areas of activity.
In the past financial year, Low & Bonar generated global sales of approx. £350 million (€394 million) with around 1,900 employees. Founded in 1903, the company has 11 production facilities in Asia, Europe and North America.
