The manufacturer of technical textiles Saertex GmbH & Co. KG, Saerbeck/Germany, is currently building a new production site in Ciudad Juárez in the north of Mexico. The plant complements the locations on the American continent in Huntersville, NC/USA, and Indaiatuba/Brazil, and will be the company’s 15th production site worldwide.
The new plant is designed to meet the company's growing demand for lightweight materials in the region. In addition, resources will be sustainably conserved by shortening delivery routes.
Originally, Saertex had planned to open the Ciudad Juárez facility by the end of 2020. Due to the corona virus pandemic, however, the date has been postponed to early 2021.
