New vacuum roll technology

28.03.2019 The custom-engineering design and machine building company Curt G. Joa, Inc., Sheboygan Falls, WI/USA, has introduced a new vacuum roll technology. The Infinity Roll uses a patented design and ensures complete control of nonwovens throughout the entire production process. Regardless of shape or size, materials remain in control without deviation, increasing production efficiencies, material savings and product quality.

The Infinity Roll has the following key benefits:
•    high product control throughout the entire process,
•    more flexibility to transfer previously difficult-to-control materials and product shapes with ease,
•    high production efficiency increases product quality and decrease downtime.
The trend to lower g/m² material is increasing, and those materials can become difficult to control at high production speeds. Furthermore, newer materials that incorporate sensory features, e.g. softness, may result in slippage during the converting process. The Infinity Roll corrects the process deviations that may otherwise result, reducing machine downtime and product quality defects.
