By applying direct radiation (without glass or ceramics) from the heat source to the product, the special heater construction effectively blocks the heat loss to the reverse side. For this reason, it requires no cooling. The fast medium-wave IR-heaters allow operations with precise temperature control on product surfaces. Due to the very rapid reaction time, they can be switched off even for short breaks. The biggest advantage of the IR heaters is the optimized emission of the heat energy in the real medium wave range (approx. 3 microns). Many products have best absorption of IR energy in this wavelength range.
