Competent and efficient air engineering is of crucial importance for production quality and performance in textile mills. New technologies and ever more advanced and faster machines place higher and higher demands in the industry.

An efficient air control system is all the more important for quality and performance in production. Luwa Air Engineering AG, Uster/Switzerland, offers extensive know-how – for air handling, air direction, air cleaning, air disposal as well as heat recovery in spinning, weaving, nonwovens and technical textiles production as well as synthetic fiber production and heat recovery. The use of non-renewable raw materials is kept to a minimum, energy consumption and emissions are reduced as far as possible. Latest developments assisting to this task are the B610 air fan and LoomLite for weaving.
The product portfolio includes more than 80 products and systems especially designed for the global textile industry: air washer, fiber waste condenser, high-performance air flow fans, ceiling cleaner, compact filter units, pre-fabricated air handling units, baling presses etc.
50-70% of electrical power of a textile air conditioning plant is consumed by axial flow fans. Luwa focuses on conserving energy of the equipment used in air conditioning plants. Therefore there is an adapted fan design for a range of operations in textile air conditioning plants. Furthermore, the company offers a wide range of fan diameters and numbers of blades to select always on best efficiency.
The TexGuard System for integrated fire protection was developed for silos in bale press systems, blowroom lines and filter plants. It includes sensitive spark sensors, fast acting discharge flaps and containers with spark extinguishing.
The Compact Filter Unit CFU with new MultiCell filter MCV requires very low space, has a high filtration area for lower power consumption and is placed close to production machines (short pipes, lower power consumption). The MCV filters allow 80% space saving versus LDF filters.
LoomLite for weaving machines allows energy and work efficiency to be increased. The infrared sensor evaluates the presence of operators – dimming when no one is present. The optimal illumination of the machine and the corridor is set and no overhead illumination is needed. The light output is regulated and the heat dissipation is optimized thanks to an aluminum profile.
