In recent years in the nonwovens market there has been a shift towards higher throughput rates, and in some cases in Asia, a requirement for improved MD/CD strength ratios of hydroentangled products.
Until recently, the nonwovens machinery manufacturer DiloGroup, Eberbach/Germany, did not supply complete lines including water-jet units, ovens and end-of-line equipment to the hydroentanglement market segment. Since summer 2020, Dilo has been working closely with Sicam Srl, Milan/Italy, and now has joint know-how for hydroentangling technology and therefore Dilo can provide complete lines as general contractor including equipment for cutting, winding and packaging.
Recently of a complete line for hydroentangled products in Portugal has been sold. The market for medical and hygiene lightweight products is currently experiencing great demand and will require more hydroentangling capacity.
